Nollywood actor Abiodun Ayoyinka has spoken candidly about the struggles he has faced years after rising to fame as the beloved comic character Papa Ajasco.
In an interview with media personality Lucky Udu, Ayoyinka revealed that the role that brought him national recognition has also limited his career growth.
He explained that the Papa Ajasco character is legally owned by filmmaker Wale Adenuga, restricting his ability to freely use the name, costume, or identity for other projects.
According to the actor, many producers are only interested in casting him strictly as Papa Ajasco & Company, making it difficult to explore other roles.
He admitted that despite his popularity, life has been financially challenging, noting that he owns neither a car nor a house.
Ayoyinka said the inability to separate himself from the character has stalled his career, turning fame into a lasting burden rather than a blessing.
