A Nigerian lady has set social media ablaze after claiming that popular online figure GehGeh is not as rich as he portrays.
In a viral video, she revealed she spotted GehGeh on a local XE Jet flight, which she called “very cheap” at ₦125,000, shattering the illusion of his lavish lifestyle.
“Guess who is on this flight with me? No other person but GehGeh… everybody is fake on social media,” she said, adding that many influencers exaggerate their wealth online.
Her video quickly sparked reactions, with some users defending GehGeh, noting that financial prudence shouldn’t be mocked.
Others pointed out that ₦125,000 is not “cheap” in Nigeria, where minimum wage remains low.“No this and know peace. If you don’t get it, forget about it,” she added, doubling down on her claim that online personas often mislead the public.
The clip has since gone viral, reigniting debates about authenticity, social media façades, and the price of “showing off” online.
