Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have apprehended three individuals allegedly involved in supplying firearms and ammunition to bandits operating in Kaduna State.
The arrests were carried out during coordinated operations in Igabi and Kachia Local Government Areas, the agency said in a statement obtained by reporters.

Through his Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Sule Shuaibu (SAN), the governor said: “There will be no hiding place for bandits and other criminal elements under our peace model.”
Governor Sani also acknowledged the support of President Bola Tinubu and the DSS Director-General for strengthening Kaduna’s security framework, highlighting that the state’s non-kinetic peace model has contributed significantly to reducing crime.
He further cautioned criminals against acts that could disrupt Kaduna’s stability, stressing that security agencies remain vigilant.
The DSS confirmed that investigations are ongoing and assured that the suspects would face prosecution.
The agency reiterated its dedication to curbing arms trafficking and preventing Kaduna from becoming a hub for illegal weapons.
