Yusuf Buhari has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Yusuf, son of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, secured victory in the APC House of Representatives primary election held on Saturday.
Results announced at the end of the exercise showed that he polled 5,849 votes to defeat his opponent, Auwal Lawal Daura, who scored 21 votes.
Following the outcome, Yusuf Buhari was declared winner of the primary and will now fly the APC flag for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 elections.
The APC House of Representatives primaries are currently being conducted across different states of the country as part of preparations for the next general elections.
