Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has made headlines after donating a massive N140 million to the non-governmental organisation run by controversial social commentator, VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The donation, confirmed by VDM via social media, instantly makes the singer the highest single donor to the initiative so far.
Screenshots shared online showed the funds were sent through Burna Boy’s brand, Spaceship Collective, sparking widespread reactions from fans.
With this contribution, Burna Boy has overtaken music executive Don Jazzy, who previously donated N100 million to the same NGO.
VeryDarkMan explained that the money would be used strictly for humanitarian purposes, including settling medical bills for Nigerians in need and paying fines for inmates unable to secure their freedom.
He stressed that the funds would support direct social intervention projects.
The donation has further amplified conversations around celebrity activism and social responsibility in Nigeria.
