Actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo has announced her withdrawal from mediation efforts aimed at resolving the ongoing rift between colleagues Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, citing exhaustion and renewed tensions within the industry.
In a detailed Instagram post, Ojo explained that she had previously made several attempts to reconcile both parties, including pleading and intervening privately and publicly.
The noted that the actresses had at one point agreed to settle their differences and avoid online exchanges, but fresh disagreements reportedly reignited the conflict following allegations surrounding a film release.
Ojo defended her past involvement while acknowledging mistakes, adding that she once publicly criticised Akindele but later reconciled with her.
She also addressed speculation surrounding Abraham’s withdrawal from her film project, explaining that scheduling constraints led to the change.
Concluding her statement, Ojo emphasised that she would no longer intervene, stressing that peace can only be achieved when both parties are willing.
