Nigerian comedian and streamer Carter Efe has reflected on how his late father’s influence might have changed his life path.

In a recent video, the entertainer said he likely would not have become a content creator if his father were still alive, explaining that his dad placed strong emphasis on formal education despite financial challenges.

Carter Efe revealed that his father raised seven children, with five earning university degrees in courses such as Medicine, Pharmacy and Biochemistry.

He contrasted their academic pursuits with his own journey, joking that he “studied fooling,” a playful nod to his comic talent.

According to him, stricter parental guidance could have redirected his choices away from skit-making and streaming.

Delivered with humour and honesty, his comments offered fans a rare glimpse into his family background and the values that shaped his upbringing, while sparking conversations online about education, talent and alternative career paths.
