9 Most Beautiful Mountains of The World For Trekkers In This Summer
by Okunola Oluwaseyi
Ready to escape the crowds this summer with beautiful mountains, wild, sometimes lesser known — but absolutely worth the journey? Here are some of the most beautiful mountains of the world for trekkers in this summer:
First is the Alpamayo in Peru, Andes. It is known as one of the most beautiful mountains in the world due to the way its fluted ice-face and pyramid profile glint in the summer sun. Trekking here demands skill, especially for those aiming for the summit, but even base-camp views are unforgettable.
You can also visit Matterhorn in the Swiss-Italian Alps, the iconic jewel of the Alps. It has sharp ridges, dramatic faces, and a postcard perfect silhouette. In summer, alpine meadows burst into bloom below the snow, and the routes are accessible for seasoned hikers.
Another beautiful mountain is Toubkal, Atlas Mountains, Morocco which is known to be majestic and reachable. At 4,167m, Mount Toubkal offers high-altitude vistas without totally technical climbing. In summer, the trek-friendly weather, cool nights, and excellent support from local guides make this a must-do.
Denali in Alaska, USA is also known for its huge topographic prominence as it towers over Alaskan wilderness. Summer treks/hikes allow you to explore glaciers, rugged terrain, and wildlife in long daylight. Stunning light, sweeping views, and raw, remote beauty.
Another beautiful mountain is Mianzimu in Meili Xue Shan, China. The snow-capped peaks here rise above deep river valleys. Mianzimu is said to be one of the world’s most beautiful mountains, yet it still retains a serene, almost sacred aura, especially in summer when skies clear and valleys bloom.
We also have Vinicunca / Rainbow Mountain in Peru. It is not massive in height compared to Everest or K2, but its stripes of mineral-rich colours make it visually striking. Summer here is ideal. The frozen windows open up, making its colourful slopes fully visible.
There is a mountain called Watzmann in Germany as well. Its almost fairytale-like appearance due to its jagged outline above Berchtesgaden National Park is especially dramatic under summer skies. Huts, trails and the alpine lake reflection all combine to make this a beautiful trek for moderate skill levels.
Another mountain, K2 in Pakistan, Karakoram is not for the faint of heart. K2’s presence is majestic, brutal even. For many, just viewing this second-highest mountain is a pilgrimage. Summer offers the best (though still extreme) window, with high passes, snow ridges, and dramatic skies.
Finally, we have Mount Fuji in Japan. This is a different kind of challenge for trekkers: more cultural than technical. Summer season opens the trails, though it gets busy. Things like reaching the summit for sunrise, watching the sea of clouds roll in make Fuji’s iconic mount remain an emotional experience.
