Political activist Aisha Yesufu has expressed disappointment over Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi’s recent interview on Channels Television, describing the discussion as repetitive and lacking fresh issues.
In a video shared on social media, Yesufu said she felt irritated after watching the interview with Seun Okinbaloye, arguing that the questions asked had been answered on several previous occasions.
She also claimed Obi continues to face tougher public scrutiny than other presidential candidates, while President Bola Tinubu is not subjected to similar questioning.
Defending Obi against criticism over his comments about Muslim commissioners during his tenure as Anambra State governor, Yesufu said he was referring to Commissioners of Police, not members of his state executive council.
She urged Nigerians to shift attention from repeated interviews and instead focus on electing competent leaders and holding them accountable after assuming office, warning that the country’s challenges require greater public attention.
