Former Edo State Governor and current Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has rejected as false a viral video showing him allegedly giving a foot massage to a woman on a private jet.
In a statement released on Wednesday by his media office through Embassy-Oseni Momodu, Oshiomhole described the footage as a fabricated, AI-generated video created to damage his reputation.
The media office highlighted signs of digital manipulation, particularly around the 0.6-second mark, when the woman is seen boarding the aircraft—an inconsistency with the rest of the clip.
“The media office of His Excellency, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has noted with dismay a poorly crafted and edited fake AI video of the distinguished senator allegedly massaging the foot of a lady,” the statement reads.

“We urge the public to jettison this false narrative that is in circulation to blackmail the people’s comrade. This is criminal cyberbullying and a needless attack on the personality of the senator.”
The statement also condemned the circulation of the video on online platforms, describing it as the work of malicious actors seeking online attention and financial gain. It cautioned the public to verify content before spreading allegations against public officials and noted that Oshiomhole supports lawful and responsible content creation.
The media office added that steps are being taken to identify the producers and publishers of the video and called for stronger social media regulation to curb the misuse of digital content.
Titled “AI Propaganda Video Against Comrade Oshiomhole: A Call for Caution,” the statement stressed that manipulated digital content is increasingly common and urged both the public and the media to disregard the clip in its entirety.
The response follows the viral circulation of the video on X on Tuesday, which sparked widespread reactions from Nigerians.
Reports indicated that the woman in the clip initially shared it on her TikTok page before deleting it.
However, by then, the footage had already spread across multiple social media platforms.
