10 Visa-Free Countries Nigerian Passport Holders Can Visit in 2026

International travel is becoming more accessible for Nigerian passport holders, particularly within Africa and parts of the Caribbean.

Several countries allow Nigerians to enter without a visa, reducing travel stress and costs.

Many of these destinations are members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which supports free movement across West Africa, while others have visa-waiver arrangements with Nigeria.

Below are 10 countries Nigerians can visit visa-free in 2025, including the typical length of stay permitted.

1. Barbados

Nigerian passport holders can stay in Barbados for up to six months without a visa.

2. Benin Republic

As an ECOWAS member, Benin allows Nigerians to enter visa-free for up to 90 days.

3. Burkina Faso

Nigerians can visit Burkina Faso without a visa, in line with ECOWAS travel agreements.

4. Cameroon

Cameroon grants Nigerians visa-free entry for up to 90 days.

5. Dominica

Nigerian travellers can stay in Dominica visa-free for up to six months.

6. Fiji

Fiji allows Nigerians to stay up to four months without a visa, although a visitor’s permit may be issued on arrival.

7. Ghana

Ghana permits visa-free entry for Nigerian citizens under ECOWAS free-movement rules.

8. Haiti

Nigerians can visit Haiti visa-free for up to 90 days.

9. Liberia

Liberia allows visa-free travel for Nigerian passport holders.

10. Senegal

Nigerians can enter Senegal visa-free for up to 90 days.

Important Travel Information for Nigerians

While these countries offer visa-free entry, travellers should note that final admission is at the discretion of immigration officers.

Visitors are usually required to present:

An international passport valid for at least six months

Proof of sufficient funds

Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation)A return or onward ticket

Visa and entry policies may change, so travellers are advised to confirm current requirements through official embassy or government sources before travelling.
