Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has sparked discussions online after sharing advice on managing challenging relationships with in-laws.
In an interview with TVC host Morayo Afolabi Brown, the actress encouraged spouses to make genuine, consistent efforts to build understanding and harmony with their partner’s family.
Omotola stressed that patience, empathy, and persistence can help bridge gaps where acceptance is initially lacking.
“I will advise that if the families of the spouse don’t like you, try everything you possibly can to make them understand you,” she said.
However, she acknowledged that some families may remain hostile regardless of effort, adding, “Marriage is already hard, and starting without love and support only makes the journey tougher.”
