Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has triggered widespread reactions on social media after warning parents against kissing their children mouth to mouth.
The outspoken actress shared her concerns via Instagram, questioning why some parents ignore cheek kisses in favour of what she described as an unhygienic practice.
According to Okorie, children do not need mouth-to-mouth kisses, stressing that such behaviour could expose them to germs and infections.
“Stop kissing your kids mouth to mouth. What happened to the cheek? They are kids, they don’t need your infected mouth,” she wrote.
She further criticised adults who also exchange mouth kisses with parents, asking whether her stance made her old-fashioned or simply cautious.
Okorie maintained that affection should not compromise a child’s health or safety. Her remarks have divided opinion online.
While many agreed that cheek kisses are safer and more appropriate, others defended mouth kisses as harmless expressions of parental love.
The debate continues to trend across social media platforms.
