Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has been the talk of the transfer market following his great performance with Galatasaray this season.

It should be recalled that Osimhen is on a season long-loan with Galatasaray from Napoli and his remarkable feat at the club this season has seen a lot of top clubs showing interest in him. The Nigerian has scored 35 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions for Galatasaray this season.

Clubs like Manchester United, Juventus, Chelsea, Arsenal are on the list wanting to sign the in-form striker. Findings have it that, Manchester United are desperate in need of a quality forward, this they lack this season which saw them having their worst performance so far this season.
Few weeks ago, talks went on between Manchester United and the representatives of on-loan Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, about a potential move.

The 26-year-old, who is expected to leave Napoli permanently when he returns after his loan in the summer, is said to be seen as a strong alternative option to the Red Devils which will see him having earned wages of around €12m per season. An offer worth more than €75m is reported to be required to land the Nigeria international.

As speculations are going on to sign Osimhen, some Manchester United players including some legends in the football industry have urged Osimhen to sign for Manchester United in order for him to play for a more experienced club and also use his quality skills to improve the team’s weakness in the goal scoring line.

One of the Man United legends is Rio Ferdinand, who has urged the club to prioritise signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, highlighting him as the ideal solution to the Red Devils’ attacking struggles under manager Ruben Amorim.

As Ferdinand emphasised in a video he shared on X, “We need someone who knows how to score and can show these young strikers at Manchester United how to do it. If I’m Man United, I’m making it happen.”
“I want someone who knows their way around the football pitch at the elite level and knows how to score at the elite level consistently. Osimhen’s done that. I want that here and now. Yes, Osimhen hasn’t played in the Premier League, but I don’t care. I think he scores wherever he goes.”

Artificial intelligence has also been employed in the speculation of Victor Osimhen’s future, with the British press reported to have tasked an AI model to name his most likely destination. In the context of predicting a footballer’s next destination, AI uses complex algorithms to process data, such as player movements, game trends, and physics, to speculate on potential outcomes.
This technology enables machines to learn from experience, adapt to new situations, and provide insights that can inform decision-making.

The following was the result from the model: “Victor Osimhen, who is playing on loan from Napoli to Galatasaray, is preparing to move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window. It is stated that Manchester United will activate the player’s €75 million release clause and Osimhen’s representatives are evaluating different options.”

With all this speculations and Manchester is seriously in need of a quality striker, Osimhen might end up agreeing on a deal with Manchester United next summer.
