The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has thrown its weight behind President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027, declaring that the party in the state is now united, stabilised, and ready for electoral mobilisation ahead of the next general election.

The endorsement was announced on Friday at the Oyo APC Stakeholders’ Summit held at the party’s Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, where party leaders emphasised the need to consolidate on past gains and strengthen grassroots structures.

Speaking at the summit, Senator Teslim Folarin, a two-term senator and Oyo State Ambassador for the Renewed Hope agenda, said the party’s target was to improve on its 2023 presidential outing with a minimum of 35 per cent increase in votes for Tinubu in 2027.

“No political strategy, no matter how brilliant, can succeed in an atmosphere of division. Our foremost responsibility is unity,” Folarin said. “The ‘One APC, One Tinubu Project’ must be our guiding principle.”

A large delegation of party leaders attended the summit, including Senators Hosea Agboola Alleluyah, Hamzat Adeseun, Yinus Akintunde, and other top stakeholders across the 33 local government areas.

Folarin added that internal rifts had been resolved and that collaboration and coordinated mobilisation were now at the heart of the party’s structure at ward and unit levels.

He said every community must feel the presence of the APC if the party hopes to deliver a more decisive victory in 2027.

Minister of Power and governorship hopeful, Chief Bayo Adelabu, described the gathering as the largest APC stakeholders’ meeting since the 2023 elections, noting that peace had fully returned.

“We are now speaking with one voice,” Adelabu said. “There is no faction, no division. Unity and cooperation have fully returned, and the party is stronger than ever.”

He disclosed that reconciliation was “90 per cent complete”, urging the remaining aggrieved members to embrace peace, adding that if elections were held immediately, the Oyo APC “would achieve a landslide victory”.

Other speakers, including Senators Ayoade Adeseun and Fatai Buhari, echoed the call for unity, saying the large turnout was proof that reconciliation efforts were yielding results.

Former party chairman, Chief Akin Oke, commended the renewed collaboration, while Rep. Remi Oseni said the summit aligned with President Tinubu’s reconciliation drive, adding that the APC would record a “walkover” in 2027 if unity persists.
