Actor Uzor Arukwe has revealed his father still does not acknowledge his career in Nollywood. Speaking on WithChude, he said his father has heard of his success but refuses to believe he is an actor.
He added that his mother initially hesitated due to her husband’s stance but later accepted his profession. Arukwe, who is from Imo State, said he has built a strong presence in the Nigerian film industry, featuring in several notable productions.
He emphasized the emotional tension between family expectations and personal ambition, noting that acceptance from loved ones came gradually.
Despite the initial resistance, the actor continues to thrive in his career and remains one of Nollywood’s recognized faces.
