A woman has sparked debate online after revealing she is considering ending her engagement over a controversial wedding tradition practiced by her fiancé’s family.

According to the lady, her fiancé proposed in April and they planned to marry next year.

However, she recently discovered that in his family tradition, only the bride and male relatives from both families are allowed to attend the main wedding ceremony.

The women, including mothers, sisters, and female friends, reportedly hold a separate celebration two weeks later.

The fiancé explained that the custom began generations ago to make a female ancestor feel comfortable after marrying into a family dominated by men.

While his relatives confirmed the tradition and even shared wedding photos, the woman said she feels deeply uncomfortable with the arrangement.

She expressed disappointment that her partner never mentioned the practice during their three-year relationship, insisting she cannot imagine getting married without the important women in her life present beside her.
