Nollywood actor Francis Odega has opened up on the profound impact late screen legend Sam Loco Efe had on his career, describing the relationship as formative both professionally and personally.

Speaking on the Where Is the Lie podcast, Odega said Sam Loco shaped his acting discipline with an unconventional style, often rephrasing scripts to suit natural delivery.

Determined to learn, he followed the veteran closely, carrying his bags and serving as a personal assistant on sets just to observe and improve.

Odega recalled being treated like a son, adding that Sam Loco frequently supported him financially and showed deep care for his family.

In a light-hearted confession, he admitted keeping part of a ₦50,000 gift meant for his wife, a story that drew laughter online.

He said the mentorship refined his craft, work ethic, and confidence, crediting Sam Loco for lessons that still guide his career today.
