Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has jokingly appealed for a cheaper asoebi option after receiving an invitation to the upcoming wedding of popular TikTok couple Peller and Jarvis.

Sharing a screenshot of the invitation on Instagram, the actor revealed that the men’s asoebi packages were priced at ₦350,000 for four yards, ₦700,000 for eight yards and ₦1 million for 12 yards.

Reacting to the price list, Awobona humorously said he might have to start an akara and kuli-kuli business to afford the fabric, while pleading with Peller to sell him just two yards so he would not miss the ceremony.

Peller recently confirmed that he had paid Jarvis’ bride price during their traditional introduction in Benin City and announced that preparations for their grand wedding were underway.

The actor’s lighthearted reaction has since drawn attention as excitement continues to build ahead of the couple’s anticipated wedding later this year.
