Magistrate Abubakar Umar Sai’I’d, of the magistrate court sitting in Kuje, Abuja, has granted bail to serial presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore and other protesters with a sum of N500,000 each.
Also granted bail were Aloy Ejimakor, one of Nnamdi Kanu’s disengaged counsel, and 11 others.
Mr Sowore was arrested by the police on Thursday, shortly after leaving the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The court had remanded Mr Ejimakor and 11 others for “inciting public disturbance” during the protest.
Others granted bail are Emmanuel Kanu, Joshua Emmanuel, Wilson Anyalewechi, Okere Kingdom Nnamdi, Clinton Chimeneze, Gabriel Joshua, Isiaka Husseini, Onyekachi Ferdinand, Amadi Prince, Edison Ojisom, Godwill Obioma, and Chima Onuchukwu.

The 13 defendants were arrested on Monday at different locations in Abuja during the protest.
As part of the bail conditions, the magistrate ordered that the defendants present a verified national identification number (NIN).
They were also asked to submit three-year tax clearance certificates and passports..
