Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at ward level in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State have raised alarm over what they described as a violent assault on their colleague, the chairman of Ward 8, Oluwadare Olanrewaju.
The Forum of APC Ward Chairmen said the incident involved Oluwafemi Fadairo, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Community Engagement (Central), who is also known as “Fada”.

The clash was said to have erupted after a dispute over money given to the wards during the governor’s recent thank-you tour.
According to party sources, tensions flared over how the N1 million allocated to each ward was to be shared, eventually leading to a physical confrontation. Olanrewaju was later hospitalised and is reportedly in a coma.
