A Nigerian man has narrated how he recovered missing cash after confronting his house cleaner’s teenage daughter over an alleged theft incident.
The man shared that the situation occurred after he returned from a trip and discovered that over ₦30,000 kept in his bedroom had gone missing.
Suspicion arose as only a few individuals had access to the space, including his cleaner and her 16-year-old daughter, who had accompanied her to work for the first time.
According to him, the girl initially denied any knowledge of the missing money when questioned.
However, he said she confessed after he mentioned the presence of a CCTV camera in the room.
He added that the girl apologised and returned the money, which had been hidden in her clothing.
Despite the recovery, the man said the incident ended his working relationship with the cleaner, who had previously maintained a spotless record.
