Iran has issued a fresh warning to the United States, declaring its naval readiness as tensions escalate over control of the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei and circulated via his Telegram channel on Saturday, Tehran signalled a hardening stance amid the ongoing standoff.
Khamenei, who has not appeared publicly since before the conflict began, said Iran’s naval forces were fully prepared for confrontation.
“Iran’s ‘brave navy stands ready to make the enemies taste the bitterness of new defeats’,” the statement read.
