A Nigerian woman living abroad has sparked conversations online after expressing frustration over the lack of social attention from men compared to her experiences in Nigeria.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the unidentified lady said she misses the frequent compliments and interactions women often receive in public spaces back home.
According to her, dressing up in Nigeria usually attracts admiration, greetings and even romantic advances from men.
However, she noted that in her current country of residence, such interactions are rare, with people largely focused on work and personal routines.
“No one is going to see you and say hello or tell you that you look good,” she said, adding that the experience sometimes leaves her feeling unnoticed.
Her remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with her observations while others defended cultural differences in social behaviour abroad.
