Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has sparked widespread reactions online after speaking candidly about single motherhood, success, and faith, describing herself as the “president-general of single mothers.”
The actress dismissed long-held stereotypes surrounding single parenting, stressing that success should be measured by personal growth, stability, and fulfilled children rather than marital status.
Reflecting on her journey, Iyabo Ojo said raising her children alone at a young age came with emotional and mental struggles, but perseverance and faith carried her through.
She revealed that both her daughter and son have grown into successful adults, adding that she never imagined she would become a landlady in Lekki.
According to her, everything she has achieved was made possible through God’s intervention.
Iyabo Ojo also shared her views on relationships, noting that both men and women make choices in marriage.
She added that she deeply admires fathers who take responsibility for their children, describing them as admirable and attractive.
