Nigerian singer Spyro has claimed that excessive spending on women, parties and luxury trips has left some of his colleagues financially stranded, warning young people against prioritising frivolous lifestyles over investments.

Speaking to fans during a performance at an event over the weekend, the ‘Who’s Your Guy’ crooner said many entertainers squandered their first major earnings on lavish parties and trips to South Africa instead of building sustainable wealth.

According to him, while there is nothing wrong with being generous to one’s partner, men should be wise and avoid reckless spending that could jeopardise their future.

Spyro stated that he deliberately chose a different path by focusing on his music career and investments, a decision he believes has contributed to his current success.

The singer also revealed that after attaining fame, several Instagram “big girls” reached out to him with offers, including sponsoring foreign trips, but he declined in order to remain focused on his goals and career growth.
