The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) on Thursday announced a second reduction in the pump price of premium motor spirit, popularly known as petrol in less than a week.
Daily Post’s correspondent reported from NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja that the state-owned firm has lowered the price of petrol to N920 per litre, down from N930, marking a N10 per litre cut.
The revised price was immediately applied at NNPCL stations across Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4 in the capital.

This follows an earlier reduction on November 28, 2025, when NNPCL cut the petrol price by N15 per litre.
Chinedu Ukadike, spokesperson for the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), told Daily Post that fuel prices are expected to continue falling due to intensified competition among major players in the downstream oil sector.
