A Nigerian woman has sparked intense online debate after declaring she would never have a child for any man unless he is her husband, even if the man is billionaire Aliko Dangote or music star Wizkid.
In a viral video shared on X, formerly Twitter, the woman criticised what she described as Nigeria’s growing “baby mama culture”, warning young women against having children for men who are not legally married to them.
She argued that wealth, fame and promises should not influence a woman’s decision to become a mother, insisting that marriage must come before childbirth.
“If a man is not your husband, don’t get pregnant for him. No ring, no baby,” she said.According to her, many men are willing to have children but are often unwilling to commit to marriage afterwards.
Her comments have divided social media users, with some praising her bold stance, while others argued that marriage does not always guarantee stability or happiness.
