Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has expressed gratitude after receiving a brand-new car, luxurious gifts and a chieftaincy title from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Sharing photos with the monarch and his wife on Facebook, the actor thanked the royal father for the warm reception, fatherly love and confidence shown to him and his wife, Afolashade Omiyinka.
Baba Ijesha said he was deeply honoured to be conferred with the title of Baba Awada Konge Oduwa, describing the recognition as humbling.
The development sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many users debating the honour in light of the actor’s past conviction. Some described it as a story of redemption, while others referenced previous controversies involving Princess and Iyabo Ojo.
The honour comes months after Baba Ijesha welcomed a baby boy with his wife following his release from prison in November 2025.
