Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has opened up about his past, admitting he is not proud of it but using his life as evidence that God can transform anyone.
Speaking on the fifth day of the Holy Ghost Congress 2025 at Redemption City, Ogun State, Adeboye reflected on his early life and the doubts people had about his spiritual future.
He recounted how many who knew him as a young man never imagined he would become a pastor.
Sharing personal anecdotes, including encounters with a former girlfriend and a childhood episode involving his uncle’s family, Adeboye illustrated the profound changes in his life.
Emphasising redemption, he told worshippers that no one is beyond God’s grace, urging believers not to give up on anyone regardless of their past mistakes.
He stressed that every life, no matter how troubled, can be transformed by faith and divine guidance.
