A Nigerian man, identified on X as @maaxthewave, has recounted the challenges he faced while completing the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme after a two-year ordeal.
He was first mobilised on November 1, 2023, completing the orientation camp by November 21.
However, his service was interrupted in February 2024 when he absconded to attend law school.
Upon finishing his law programme, he returned in November 2024, only to learn he would need to restart the NYSC service from the beginning due to regulatory requirements.
His remobilisation process began in November 2024 but was officially approved in January 2025, allowing him to resume and eventually complete the programme.
Sharing his experience online, he reflected on the hurdles and delays he endured, highlighting his persistence and commitment to fulfilling the mandatory service.
The post has sparked reactions from fellow Nigerians, many applauding his determination to finally complete the NYSC despite setbacks.
