A woman has reportedly walked out of her marriage of less than one year following a heated disagreement with her husband over how her visiting father was treated.
The conflict began when her father travelled from the village for medical care and was asked to sleep on the couple’s couch due to the absence of an extra mattress.
Tension escalated days later when the husband purchased a new mattress for a friend’s wife visiting the city for a short course.
The woman expressed outrage, stating, “My father was unwell and made to sleep on the couch, yet another woman got a new mattress.”
She added that her husband asked her to provide funds for her father’s comfort despite her unemployment.In response, the husband maintained that his decision was based on financial priorities.
The incident has since stirred widespread debate on marriage roles and family responsibility online.
