Nigerian businessman E‑Money has unfollowed content creator Carter Efe on social media following a controversial stunt involving a luxury car he recently gifted him.
The incident occurred days after E-Money’s birthday celebration, where he presented cars to several personalities, including actor Chinedu Ikedieze and Carter Efe.
In a livestream, Carter Efe and fellow creator Peller were seen damaging each other’s vehicles as part of what appeared to be playful banter. Photos later showed shattered windscreens, sparking backlash online.
Many social media users criticised the act, describing it as wasteful and disrespectful, especially given that the car was a recent gift. Some argued that the stunt undermined the generosity behind the gesture.
Shortly after the video went viral, E-Money reportedly unfollowed Carter Efe, a move that fuelled further debate.
A clip circulating online shows Carter Efe reacting with visible concern after learning of the unfollow, as public reactions to the episode continue to trend.
