Afrobeats Star Davido Has Announced A Temporary Suspension Of His Music Career For Two Months To Actively Participate In The Re-Election Campaign Of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke Ahead Of The 2026 Governorship Poll.

The Singer Made The Declaration On Tuesday In Ede During The Inauguration Of The Imole Youth Campaign Mobilisation Team, Where He Was Named Chairman Of The Committee.

He Stated That His Decision Was Driven By The Need To Support Grassroots Political Engagement And Strengthen The Governor’s Second-Term Bid.

Davido Explained That He Is Putting His Music Activities On Hold To Dedicate Time And Influence To The Campaign, Emphasising That The Governor Still Has More To Deliver For The State.
