A female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member has gone viral after reportedly discovering she was pregnant shortly after pretending to be so in an attempt to leave orientation camp.
The incident was shared on X by a medical doctor identified as @PreciousOrla, who recounted that the corps member initially claimed pregnancy to be excused from camp activities.
However, when informed that a medical test would be required for confirmation, she reportedly withdrew the claim and admitted she had lied.
Despite her confession, a nurse insisted on conducting the test. To the corps member’s shock, the result confirmed that she was indeed pregnant.
The unexpected outcome reportedly left the young woman overwhelmed and in tears as she struggled to process the discovery.
The post has since gained widespread attention online, with social media users expressing a mix of amusement, sympathy and disbelief over the incident, which has sparked broader conversations about NYSC camp pressures and health screening procedures.
