Blood Isn’t Thicker Than My Peace”: Peter Okoye Breaks Silence on 20-Year Family Betrayal

Singer Peter Okoye has declared that “blood isn’t thicker than my peace of mind” amid the ongoing rift within the Okoye family.

In a series of posts on X, the former P-Square star rejected claims that women caused the dispute, insisting the betrayal began over 20 years ago — long before any family marriages. “No woman directed or advised anyone to steal from what I worked for,” he wrote.

Okoye stated he would cut off even his parents if they supported such betrayal, emphasizing that boundaries are necessary for mental health.

He confirmed the case is still before the Lagos State High Court, adjourned to May 15, 2026.

The dispute involves his twin brother Paul and elder brother Jude Okoye, who faces EFCC prosecution over alleged royalty diversion — which he denies.

“Now that I’ve uncovered the betrayal that was going on for over 20 years plus, suddenly we’re blood? No,” Peter added.
