Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, is set to formally present President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the party’s Certificate of Return and official flag for the 2027 presidential election.
The ceremony is scheduled to hold on Sunday at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre following the completion of the APC presidential primary election process nationwide.
According to a statement issued by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the presentation will be handled by the APC Presidential Primary Elections Committee.
The event is expected to attract APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee, National Working Committee, lawmakers and other senior party stakeholders.
The ceremony is expected to officially conclude the party’s primary process and signal the beginning of preparations for the 2027 general election campaign as the APC moves to strengthen support for Tinubu’s re-election bid across the country.
