Air Peace has attributed a series of recent flight delays to the ongoing Harmattan season, explaining that poor visibility at a number of airports forced it to modify operations to ensure passenger safety.
The airline made this known in a statement released on Thursday by the management of Air Peace Limited.
In an operational advisory addressed to passengers, the carrier expressed regret over the disruptions, saying, “We sincerely apologise for the recent flight delays experienced on some of our routes and appreciate your patience. Current Harmattan weather conditions have led to reduced visibility at certain airports.”
Air Peace noted that the dusty and hazy conditions typical of the season had affected normal flight schedules and made it necessary to introduce changes to planned services.
Explaining the rationale behind the adjustments, the airline stated, “To ensure every flight operates safely and in full compliance with aviation standards, we have had to make careful operational adjustments on some services.”
It acknowledged the difficulties the delays may have caused travellers but emphasised that the measures were taken strictly out of concern for safety.

“We understand that delays can cause inconvenience to your plans, and we do not take this lightly,” the statement read.
Reassuring customers of its commitment to their wellbeing, the airline added, “Please be assured that these decisions are made solely with your safety in mind which remains our highest priority. Thank you for choosing Air Peace.”
Air Peace further maintained that despite the operational challenges created by the Harmattan haze, it remains dedicated to maintaining high safety standards.
“We are committed to transporting you safely, responsibly, and with the care you deserve, and we look forward to serving you on board,” the airline concluded.
