Veteran gospel singer Deborah Fasoyin, widely known for her classic song Odun n Lo Sopin, has dismissed rumours of her death circulating on social media.
In a video statement, the 86-year-old reassured fans that she is alive and in good health, describing the reports as false and misleading.
Fasoyin, who recently marked her 86th birthday on March 1, expressed gratitude for her continued strength and wellbeing.
She thanked concerned supporters for their messages and prayers, noting that the viral claims had triggered widespread condolence posts online.
According to her, the misinformation caused unnecessary panic among fans and followers.
Fasoyin further stated that she remains confident of living a long, peaceful life, adding that she hopes to “finish strong” in good health.
