Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has addressed rumours suggesting he is estranged from his children with his first wife, May Edochie, insisting that he remains actively involved in their lives.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, the actor dismissed claims that he had abandoned his children amid the ongoing divorce proceedings, stressing that he maintains regular contact with them and continues to support them financially.
Edochie revealed that his decision to stop posting photos or updates about his children on social media was not voluntary but a result of a court order connected to the divorce case.
According to him, the order restricts public discussions or online exposure involving the children for safety reasons.
He cited his son’s recent admission into a university and matriculation as proof of their continued relationship, adding that many online narratives are exaggerated.
The actor criticised social media speculation, noting that private family matters are often misrepresented online and do not reflect reality.
