President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emphasised his administration’s aim to end terrorism and restore lasting peace across Nigeria.
He assured both citizens and international partners of the government’s unwavering commitment to national unity, security, and economic stability.
Tinubu gave the assurance on Thursday at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, shortly before presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting and moments after administering the oath of office to two newly appointed ministers.
His remarks came amid renewed global focus on Nigeria’s security situation, following the recent classification of the country as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) by U.S. President Donald Trump and his warnings of possible military intervention under the pretext of defending religious freedom.
The Nigerian leader, however, adopted a calm and confident stance, emphasizing that his government remains fully engaged in diplomatic dialogue while sustaining momentum in the fight against terrorism and in efforts to stabilize the nation.
He reaffirmed that Nigeria’s approach is guided by cooperation, resilience, and the pursuit of peace, adding that his administration would continue to work with regional and international partners to strengthen security and promote national cohesion.

“The most important thing is the fact that despite the political headwind and the fear of our people, we’ll continue to engage with our partners. The success of the $2.35 billion Eurobond oversubscription is the most reassuring signal at this stage.
