Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has condemned TikTok users sharing her photos with false “RIP” captions, warning that anyone found responsible would face consequences.
The actress spoke in a video shared on Snapchat on Tuesday, expressing anger over the disturbing trend of fake death announcements circulating online.
According to her, the posts have continued to gain attention across social media platforms despite their damaging nature.
Abraham warned those behind the content to immediately delete the posts, stressing that she would not accept pleas or excuses from anyone caught spreading the rumours.
She said, “You on TikTok, posting my pictures and putting RIP, if I catch you I won’t listen to anyone begging on your behalf. Go and delete and stop. Everyone is seeing it now. If I catch you, I won’t listen. I shall not die.”
The actress’ reaction has since sparked conversations online about cyberbullying and harmful social media trends.
