An Abuja-based disc jockey, VDJ Modi, has completed a 72-hour non-stop performance in a bid to secure a Guinness World Record, describing the experience as exhausting yet deeply fulfilling.

The DJ, whose real name is Amaobi Udeh, said the marathon session, tagged “Mobi’s Mixathon,” followed strict guidelines required for official validation.“

I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and relief. Standing here after 72 hours, the physical exhaustion is real, but the mental fulfilment is on another level,” she said.

VDJ Modi credited the audience for sustaining her energy throughout the three-day event, noting their support challenged stereotypes about Abuja’s nightlife.

“The response was electric. The crowd carried me through every hour,” she added.Beyond entertainment, she said the initiative promoted advocacy for the girl-child, urging aspiring record breakers to prioritise purpose, discipline and thorough preparation.
