A former publicity secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State, Saidu Bello Said, has predicted a swift electoral rejection of President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election, citing growing public dissatisfaction with governance.
Speaking in an interview, Said argued that Nigerians have become increasingly conscious of the country’s socio-economic realities and are prepared to reflect that sentiment decisively at the polls.
He said, “Nigerians will never vote for Tinubu in the coming election. They are tired. Democracy is not being respected.”
The former party spokesman went further to forecast what he described as an early collapse of support for the ruling party on election day.
“Tinubu will lose the election before 10:00 am. Whoever votes for Tinubu, especially in the North, will be found at the bottom of hell,” he said.
Beyond his electoral projections, Said pointed to ongoing political realignments within the ADC in Kano, noting that the party is repositioning itself ahead of the next election cycle. He expressed confidence that internal restructuring efforts would strengthen its competitiveness.
“The party will get its house in order before 2027,” he added.
He also took aim at the Federal Government’s economic policies, particularly the recent increase in fuel prices, questioning the rationale behind the decision amid changing global dynamics.
“For example, fuel price has increased when there’s no reason for that,” he said. “Nigeria’s budget was pegged at $70, but with the recent war, it has increased. What is being done for Nigerians?”
Said urged voters to approach the 2027 elections as a critical turning point, calling on citizens to “see 2027 as a time to save themselves from the clutches of APC.”
