Yoruba Nollywood actress Omotunde Apinke Ogundimu has made an emotional appeal to Nigerians for financial and moral support after revealing that she is battling cervical cancer.
Speaking during an interview with actress Biola Bayo, Ogundimu said doctors diagnosed her with the disease after medical tests and described the pain as unbearable.
She said she never imagined facing such an illness, adding that despite receiving support from some people, her children have been spending all their income on her treatment while putting their own lives on hold.
The actress expressed gratitude for their sacrifice but pleaded with Nigerians to come to her aid, saying she wants to recover and be healed.
She admitted she initially hesitated to publicly seek help because she feared criticism but decided to speak out in the hope of receiving assistance.
Ogundimu stressed that she has no one else to rely on and urged the public to show her compassion as she continues her fight against the disease.
