Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has shed light on discussions held during a high-profile meeting in Minna, Niger State, involving former military Head of State Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
According to Fayose, the talks centered on potential political alignments ahead of future elections.
He revealed that Makinde agreed to work with Atiku Abubakar as his running mate under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Fayose further claimed that former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi was marginalised in the deliberations.
He alleged that concerns were raised over Obi’s willingness to serve as Atiku’s deputy and doubts about his ability to secure broad acceptance in Northern Nigeria as a possible successor.
