A Nigerian lady has triggered online reactions after sharing how a private deal with her neighbour turned into an awkward dispute.
In a post shared on X, the woman revealed that the man once paid her ₦50,000 to secretly monitor his wife while he was away for work in another state.
According to her, the neighbour said he suspected unusual behaviour and asked if she had noticed any man visiting the house.
She said she later spotted a man leaving the woman’s apartment and quickly took a photo, which she sent to the husband as requested.
However, the situation changed hours later when the man called back to say he recognised the individual in the picture as his wife’s close friend.
Following the discovery, the neighbour reportedly demanded that the lady return the ₦50,000 he earlier described as a gift, sparking debate online over trust and privacy in relationships.
