A Nigerian woman, Sharon Ojong, has shared an emotional tribute to late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, revealing details of their friendship which spanned over two decades.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sharon recounted meeting the actor during their time at the University of Calabar. She described Alexx as a private individual who rarely spoke about his personal struggles despite facing difficult moments in life.
According to her, the actor remained kind, prayerful, and supportive to people around him even after attaining fame in the entertainment industry.
She also recalled how he travelled from Lagos to attend a Commonwealth of Zion Assembly service where they later discussed life, dreams, and purpose.
Reacting to his reported passing on May 11, 2026, Sharon said the news left her heartbroken and speechless, while offering prayers and condolences to his loved ones.
