Media personality Daddy Freeze has challenged reality star Cross Okonkwo to produce a pastor capable of healing one verified cripple, promising a ₦100 million reward if the feat is achieved.
The challenge came in response to Cross’ criticism of Freeze over comments he made about actor Alex Ekubo’s Service of Songs. Freeze had earlier questioned the inclusion of preaching and musical performances at the memorial event, particularly criticising the sermon and gospel singer Mercy Chinwo’s performance.
In a video circulating online, Cross urged Freeze to remain silent on matters relating to Christianity and stop attacking pastors. Responding, Freeze declared he would personally contribute ₦50 million and raise another ₦50 million from supporters if any pastor could heal one out of 50 verified cripples he would provide.
The outspoken broadcaster has repeatedly questioned claims of miraculous healings by prominent Nigerian clerics, including Pastor Jerry Eze, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Apostle Joshua Selman, arguing that such claims should be subjected to public verification.
