Popular Nigerian skit maker and actress KieKie has revealed that she lived with her husband for four months before their wedding, citing financial practicality behind the decision.

Speaking during an interview with Toke Makinwa, she explained that her rent had expired shortly before their planned January wedding, making it unnecessary to renew her lease for a short duration.

“I wasn’t going to waste money,” she said, noting that their traditional introduction had already been completed at the time.

KieKie added that despite living together, their demanding work schedules and frequent travels meant they spent limited time at home, reducing the impact of the arrangement.

She also disclosed that their church was unaware of the cohabitation, as she remained actively involved during that period.

Her revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with opinions divided on cohabitation before marriage.
